Education Abroad Information

General Information

Studying abroad is a life changing experience, and we are excited to help you along the way. For more information, visit http://www.kent.edu/educationabroad. You should log in with your FlashLine credentials.

Some programs are open to students from other universities. These students require a guest account to log in. If you need a guest account, please arrange this with the Office of Global Education.  You can contact them by phone at 330-672-7980 or by email at edabroad@kent.edu.

Application Instructions

  1. Go to http://educationabroad.kent.edu and select “PROGRAMS” to find the program to which you want to apply. If you are returning to the site to complete an application, select “LOGIN” to log in with your Kent State username and password to view your open applications.
  2. Click Apply Now.
  3. Log in with your Kent State username and password.
  4. Fill out the components of the application checklist – as parts are finished, you will see checkmarks to indicate complete items.
    1. Material Submissions: These are documents that you must turn in physical or electronic copies to the Office of Global Education (OGE).  When OGE receives your document, a staff member will check off that material.
    2. Signature Documents: These are items to read and e-sign acknowledging that you read them.  Read these carefully.  As you e-sign them, they will check off automatically.
    3. Application Questionnaires:  These are online questionnaires that ask for certain information from you, or they will ask you to upload certain documents. They do not have checkmarks.
  5. You can exit out and finish your application at a later date.
    1. When you re-log in, you must click on the program name (on the upper right side of your applicant home page) in order to see your application checklist.
  6. When all your items have checkmarks your application is considered complete.
    1. All these items must be complete by the application deadline listed on the program’s brochure page.
      1. Once the deadline passes, you will be locked out of your application items; you will be able to see them, but you will not be able to complete any more items.
  7. When you have been accepted, a second half of the application will appear.
