How do I check into FlashQ for the One Stop?

Located on the first floor of University Library at the Kent Campus, One Stop for Student Services will serve as a single point-of-contact for student customer services previously provided at the Bursar, Registrar and Student Financial Aid offices.  One Stop counselors will be cross-trained and provide holistic advising in these areas.

Instructions for Checking into FlashQ

In-person Service on the First Floor of University Library 
Text
  1. Text “Kent One Stop” to 330-281-4091 to enter the queue
  2. You will receive a confirmation text with the expected wait time
  3. A second text will alert you when it is nearly your turn in line
  4. A final text message will be sent to notify you which station to go to

You are now in the Queue. Text the following letters to 330-281-4091 if needed:

  1. S – Status update, tells you your place in line and estimated wait time
  2. M – More time, use this to be pushed back a spot in line
  3. H – Help, use the to get assistance with FlashQ commands
  4. W – Switch, changes from text updates to phone call updates, or vice-versa
  5. N# - Notify, replace the # with a number to be notified when your estimated wait time reaches that number
  6. L – Leave, removes you from the queue
Phone
  1. Dial (330) 474-3195
  2. Listen to the messages, then press 1 to join the queue
  3. You will receive periodic phone calls to update you on your status and to let you know when you are first in line
  4. You can dial (330) 474-3195 after joining the queue to get an update on your status, request more time, or leave the queue
Web browser
  1. Go to www.kent.edu/onestop and click on “FlashQ”
  2. Click on the “Join queue” button to enter the queue
  3. Enter your phone number if you would like text updates and be able to use text commands
  4. Enter your KSU ID, if you have one
  5. Select your reason for visiting the One Stop

You are now in the Queue. Text the following letters to 330-281-4091 if needed:

In person
  1. Go to the Library and use either One Stop kiosk to get in line. They are located just to the right of the escalators and on the front desk of the One Stop
  2. Enter your phone number if you would like text updates and be able to use text commands. If you don’t want to or cannot enter your phone number, you will be prompted to enter your name
  3. Enter your KSU ID, if you have one
  4. Select your reason for visiting the One Stop
  5. You are now in the queue. Watch the monitors located near the One Stop for your status in the queue
