How can I access the Kent State Guest wireless network?

Faculty, staff, and students should NOT use "Kent State Guest" wireless network as it is bandwidth restricted and provides no security to protect the users from having information stolen. Instead, faculty, staff, and students should use either the "eduroam" or "Kent State Wireless" wireless networks.

The Kent State Guest wireless network provides only limited Internet access for individuals visiting a Kent State campus, but does not allow access to internal Kent State Web sites or any Kent State resource that requires login authentication. All students, faculty and staff with FlashLine login user IDs and passwords are encouraged to use Kent State Wireless network.

If you would still like to connect to the "Kent State Guest" network, follow these steps:

1. Click your system's wireless icon and choose "Kent State Guest" as your network.

2. Open a browser. At the Kent State University Guest Access page, click Accept to agree to the terms and conditions.

3. You should now have network access and can begin browsing the web. Please note the guest wireless restrictions listed below.

Note: Guest access for an hour or so does not require login credentials. If prompted for a username & password you can enter anything (Example: username: 123 password: 123).  If you are going to be a guest for an extended period of time, you will need a sponsor to request your account.
