I'm not receiving email from my Professors. What can I do?

First determine to which account the instructor is sending the email.

In Blackboard Learn there is no need to forward your emails.  When an email is sent to you using the Email tool (and not the Message Tool), all emails will go to your FlashLine email account. You can change your external email address used in your course. Change your email address by accessing the global navigation menu > Settings > Personal Information > Edit Personal Information. Type your preferred email address and select Submit.

You may not be getting email from your professors if your Kent email is not set as the preferred email in your profile.  Follow the steps below to resolve this problem.

Step 1.  Log into FlashLine and click on My Account
Step 2.  In the section “Update Personal Information,” click on E-mail addresses/Personal Web Pages Updates
Step 3.  Make sure that your Kent email address is listed as your “preferred” email address.  If nothing is marked “Preferred,” select the Kent email address and check the appropriate box. If you have a prefered email address showing and it is not correct, please contact the Registrar's Office at 330-672-3131 or RegWebmaster2@kent.edu

Step 4. Click Submit if you made changes that need to be saved.
