What is FERPA and where can I find more information?

The Family Educaational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records.  The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education.  the complete policy regarding the collection, retention and dissemination of information about students is available in the Kent State University Policy Register.
