Adding Mashups (Faculty)

What is a Mashup?

Wherever text can be added and formatted in a course, social media from other websites can be added to your content. These social media elements that appear in a course are called "mashups." A mashup combines elements from two or more sources. For example, viewing a YouTube™ video as part of the course content is a mashup. Mashups can be added to test questions, discussions, assignments, or as a standalone piece of content. Clips of a movie or a photo in a journal, blog, or wiki can also be added.

To add a mashup, navigate to the content area in the course where it is to be added.  Select the Build Content tab from the menu near the top of the page, then select the desired mashup type under the "Mashups" heading.
