I tried to delete a batch and get an error message: “Failed to delete batch with id…! Delete batch document is not valid if Batch state is IDLE or in use by another user!”

If you tried to delete a batch and get an error message: “Failed to delete batch with id…! Delete batch document is not valid if Batch state is IDLE or in use by another user!” It is because the batch file is either in use by someone else or it is stuck in the user's cache memory. If someone else has the document open, then you won’t be able to delete it because it’s in use by somebody else. (Neither you nor the AppXtender admin cannot see who has what batches open.) You may need to ask around in your department to see if someone else has it open or wait up to 15 minutes for the server to refresh and for the file to clear from the temporary cache.

Try clearing your cache, then log out of AppXtender, and go back in with a fresh browser window. Follow this link to learn how to clear your cache: https://kent.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/KB/ArticleDet?ID=38318

If you should still need assistance with your batch, please create a support ticket to request assistance.

  1. Go to www.kent.edu/it
  2. Click on "Support Requests"
  3. Click on "Enterprise Applications"
  4. Click on "Submit a Ticket for Assistance with Enterprise Applications"
  5. Click on "Submit a Ticket"
  6. Fill out your information, then under "What do you need help with?", select "Banner Document Imaging (Xtender)"
  7. Please put in the application name (such as ‘B-F-DOCS-KENT’) and any pertinent information (such as batch name) or any error message for which you need assistance under the "Description" section
  8. It's always very helpful to attach a screenshot to fully describe the error; so please do that under "Attachment"
