Separated Faculty/Staff Access

Introduction

Faculty/staff leaving the university, not retiring, can view below to see how their access will be affected.

 

Resource Access

Microsoft: Access is typically removed within 60 days after leaving the university. To re-license after loss of access, you may sign out of your Microsoft applications, purchase a personal copy from Microsoft and sign in with your new account.

KSUProxy (Library Resources): Access revoked.

VPN: Access revoked.

Adobe:

  • University license may be removed and reused by the department. Otherwise the license will be terminated Dec 15th of that year.
  • Personal license terminated after 1-year subscription is over.

Email:

  • Faculty/Staff Alumni: Upon leaving the University your Kent State email address will be revoked. You may not retain your current University email address due to the potential of sensitive information you may have received during your employment with the University. If you would like a replacement email address please contact your immediate supervisor prior to the end of your employment to request a replacement email address.
  • Faculty/Staff non-alumni: Upon leaving the University your Kent State email address will be revoked. You may not retain your current University email address due to the potential of sensitive information you may have received during your employment with the University. 

Flashline: Access to Flashline will remain enabled indefinitely with at least one log in every 18 months. If there is no login within 18 months, the account will be disabled but can be restored with a call to the Helpdesk at 330-672-4357.

Software:

  • Statistical software
    •  SPSS and SASS
      • Personal devices: License removed after the yearly renewal date.
      • University owned devices: The machine will be returned to the university.
