How do I access Pinnacle?

Please Note:  For help or information with the new PRC360 Billing System (Post July 1st 2018) please visit PRC360 Billing.

You must use either IE (Windows Internet Explorer) or Firefox browser; pages will not display correctly with Safari or Chrome.

The following URL will get to you the Pinnacle login screen: https://pinnacle.kent.edu. It is recommended to bookmark the webpage in your Internet Explorer browser for easy access. The user name and password will be the same as you would use to login to Flashline.

Please note: You must enter https:// (http:// will not work).

Is there a Pinnacle link from Flashline?

No, there is not a quick link from your Flashline page.

Why can’t I see my department’s monthly Pinnacle bill?

You may not be assigned as the Department Manager for the index. Please submit a Help Desk ticket at support.kent.edu to request Pinnacle Department Manager access for the necessary index(es). Be sure to list actual index number(s) in your ticket.

How do I view my department’s monthly Pinnacle bill?

Select Department Manager from the drop down box.

Click on the Main Menu item Billing.

Four reports are available in this section:

  • Department Billing – contains the billing statements for the entire department by billing date.
  • Recurring Charges – lists the recurring charges by service number.
  • One Time Charges – lists the one-time charges by service number.
  • Dashboards (not used at this time)

Click on the tab Department Billing.

Type in Billing Date or Department Number (Banner Index) for the specific bill you are looking for and then click on Search. You will only be able to see departments for which you are designated Department Manager.

TIP:          If you leave fields blank and click Search, the program will return every department you are allowed to see.
TIP:          Pinnacle allows the user to perform a search by entering the first few characters of the name/number that you are looking for and then clicking on search.
TIP:          Pinnacle can display up to 250 rows per page. The default is 15 rows. In order to increase number of rows to display, type the desired number into the Display box just under Division option.

Under Billing Date, choose the report you want to see.

TIP:          Bills are run the first day of the month following the end of the billing period (e.g. January's bill will have the billing date of 01-Feb).

The Departmental Bill Summary is displayed.

Click View Report. This may take a few minutes to load.

This will be the Department Monthly Billing Report. The report displays data in the following categories:

  • Subscriber-Account Overview – lists each subscriber name and ID and the monthly charges associated that subscriber.
  • Service Summaries – provides data for each service number and service category.
  • Account Summaries – provides data by Department (Banner Index) and by category expense subcode (Banner Account).
  • Detail For Account – provides detailed data by subscriber of each category expense.

My monthly Pinnacle bill is not opening. The report window will stay open without opening up the data.

Occasionally the system will lock up when trying to view a bill. If this occurs, please submit a Help Desk ticket at support.kent.edu. Make sure to include the Index number and the Month of the bill that is not opening. The ticket will be received and closed once the bill has been successfully run.
