I am a student at the College of Podiatric Medicine (CPM). What is Mediasite? Where can I find help with Mediasite?

Mediasite is a lecture capture/recording system in use by CPM.  All class lectures and certain special events are recorded and uploaded to Mediasite so students can view the videos as a study aid after class.  Mediasite will show a video of the classroom, what slideshow or other content that was presented to the class, and the audio of the lecturer’s presentation.  Lectures can be captured by the hardware in Classrooms A, B, and C – or from a personal computer via the Mediasite Desktop Recorder (in conjunction with a microphone and webcam).

Previous years’ lectures will remain archived and available on Mediasite for up to four years.  Lectures can be accessed by any member of the CPM community (faculty, staff, or student).  Access to Mediasite can be made available for non-community members with the approval of the CPM-IT department and the office of the Senior Associate Dean.

For assistance with Mediasite, to report a problem or issue, or to begin the process of requesting access if you are not a member of the CPM community: please contact CPM-IT via email at cpmit@kent.edu or by phone at 216-916-7545.  CPM-IT is located on the fourth floor of the main CPM building.

For assistance with Mediasite, to report a problem or issue, or to begin the process of requesting access if you are not a member of the CPM community: please create a support ticket via http://support.kent.edu.  Tickets can be routed as follows:

  • Request Type: Software and Application Support
  • Building: College of Podiatric Medicine – Main Building
  • Software/Application: Mediasite
  • (Other fields should be filled in as appropriate for your situation)
