Multi-factor Authentication after getting a new phone

New Cell Phone & New Phone Number

To set up Multi-factor Authentication again after getting a new cell phone with a NEW cell phone number:

  1. Download the Microsoft Authenticator app again on your new device
  2. Contact the Help Desk at 330-672-4357 to clear your existing MFA configuration
  3. After the options have been cleared, go to https://aka.ms/MFASetup and set up your desired MFA options again
     

New Cell Phone with Same Phone Number

To set up Multi-factor Authentication again after getting a new cell phone with the same phone number:

  1. Download the Microsoft Authenticator app again on your new device

If you have the SMS or phone call options selected:

  1. visit https://aka.ms/MFASetup, and use one of those two options to verify and sign in
  2. Go to "Add Method" and select "Authenticator App" and follow the step-by-step instructions to complete the set up

If you do not have the SMS or phone call options selected:

  1. Contact the Help Desk at 330-672-4357 to clear your existing MFA configuration
  2. After the options have been cleared, go to https://aka.ms/MFASetup and set up your desired MFA options again
